My name is Tracey and I am the Owner, Founder and Franchisor of The Baby Fayre UK.
I am a proud mum of one and we live in Derbyshire, on the edge of the beautiful Peak District.
My career began in Primary Education as a Classroom Teacher and I then worked for a Local Authority as a School Improvement Officer. It was the dream job until life threw a few curve balls after having my beautiful daughter so I needed a change in career to best meet her needs. I bought a franchise called Tots Play and happily delivered Baby and Toddler Classes across Chesterfield for over 4 years.
It was during this time with Tots Play that I noticed a gap for Franchisees like myself. There were various large, national baby shows and local children’s markets selling pre-loved items, but nothing in between to promote and advertise our classes at.
So The Baby Fayre was developed…
I wanted to create events that provided a market place for all local businesses that offer a product or service to pregnant women, parents to be and new families, at an affordable price for local businesses.
Fortunately the idea soon proved popular and I quickly developed working relationships with baby classes, first aid trainers, swim schools, photographers and many more! Our visitors love having the choice of all the local businesses under one roof!
In August 2021, the very first Baby Fayre took place in Worksop, Notts. There have since been events in Chesterfield, Sheffield, Liverpool, Barnsley, Cheltenham, Bristol, Newport, Maidstone, Northampton, Leicester and Lincoln.
In November 2023, we welcomed our first franchisees. Natalie and Linsey are now the proud owners of The Baby Fayre South and West Yorkshire.
This quickly followed with franchisees in the South East, Merseyside and the South West. In November 2024, Emma and Kelly joined the team for Cheshire and Cambridgeshire.
The Baby Fayre UK franchise offers that much desired work/life balance where you can plan your own diary, be your own boss, and organise your work diary around family commitments. We now cover events in Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, South Wales, South and West Yorkshire, Kent, Sussex, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Merseyside, Cheshire and Cambridgeshire.
